Dr. Rahul Shah
I take great pride in the work I do, and I believe that commitment comes through in every patient interaction. Dentistry allows me to combine precision, technical skill, and meaningful patient care, making it a profession I truly enjoy. Helping patients restore their oral health and confidence is extremely rewarding, and my goal is always to provide high-quality, patient-focused care that supports long-term health.
I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction and multiple awards from the University of Western Ontario, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. Following graduation, I completed a multi-disciplinary hospital residency at Mount Sinai Hospital through the University of Toronto, where I received advanced training across all dental specialties, including oral surgery, TMJ and facial pain, complex care, and the treatment of patients with special needs. I later returned to Western University as an Associate Clinical Professor, teaching in the undergraduate clinic.
In early 2024, I became the proud owner of Dentistry at The Kingsway. My clinical focus includes dental implants, aesthetic and conservative dentistry, smile makeovers, wisdom teeth surgery, and complex root canal therapy. Outside the office, I value giving back to the community, traveling with my best friend/wife, Pearl, exploring new cuisines, and spending time with my children, Kiyan and Jayan.
Dr. Janine Koutsaris
When I was six, I asked Santa for a Dentist Barbie, telling my mom that it was who I wanted to be “when I grew up.” Fast forward to today, I could not be happier to be working with The Dentistry at The Kingsway in my home city of Toronto.
I obtained my Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at University College Cork in Ireland where I gained experience working in a hospital setting and providing dental care to the community. After graduating, I returned back home to Toronto and have been working in private practice ever since.
I view dentistry as an art that allows me to find creativity and calmness in my work, which I extend to my patients. I strive to create a healthy smile by combining the use of up to date techniques with a delicate hand to create aesthetic and functional results. My approach can be best described as gentle, communicative and patient-focused with the goal of providing treatment that addresses your unique concerns.
Outside of the clinic, you can find me hanging out with my dog Koodo, rock climbing, or cozying up at home with a good book.
Dr. Jolanta Maj
I am Dr. Maj, a family dentist with over 34 years of experience. I completed my dental education in Wroclaw, Poland, and throughout my career I have had the privilege of caring for thousands of patients, including multiple generations of families and children. Building long-term relationships and watching families grow has been one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
My approach to dentistry is centered on trust, compassion, and quality care. A patient’s oral health and overall well-being are always my top priorities, and I strive to create a comfortable, welcoming environment for patients of all ages.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, who I happily spoil, and relaxing at my cottage, where you’ll often find me swimming and enjoying the outdoors.
Teresa, Dental Hygienist
My name is Teresa, and I have worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist for 33 years, with 27 of those years spent alongside Dr. Maj’s practice. I graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science before completing my dental hygiene education at George Brown College.
Dental hygiene has been an incredibly rewarding career for me. I truly enjoy helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles, and I am committed to continuously learning and growing so I can better support my patients in understanding the importance of their oral health.
Outside of work, I love spending time at my cottage whenever possible. I look forward to the day when my son and daughter have graduated from university and can join my husband and me more often to enjoy quality family time in the great outdoors.
Dany, Dental Hygienist
Bonjour! Originally from Quebec City, I spent seven years living in Montreal before settling in the beautiful GTA, where I have called home for the past 16 years. I have been a dental hygienist for over 22 years and am truly passionate about my work and the relationships I build with my patients.
At Dentistry at The Kingsway, we are like a family. I genuinely enjoy working alongside such caring professionals, and together we strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where our patients’ well-being always comes first.
Outside of the office, I am a proud mom of twins and a dedicated soccer, baseball, and hockey mom. I enjoy good food, a glass of wine on the weekends, watching a great movie on a Friday night, and taking on home renovation projects whenever I can.
Gabi, Dental Administrator
My name is Gabi. I've worked with the clinic for 30+ years as a Dental Administrator. I am delighted to be a part of the warm and welcoming team that is Dentistry at The Kingsway. I truly care for our patients and strive to ensure that their experiences at our clinic are always positive. I love going the extra (s) mile to achieve this.
Outside of work I value traveling, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
Hajra, Regional Practice Manager
My name is Hajra, and I am the Regional Practice Manager overseeing clinical operations and patient experience at Dentistry at The Kingsway and The Dental Clinic. With over 11 years of experience in dentistry, I have worked across multiple roles, giving me a strong understanding of both patient care and practice operations. I completed my Bachelor of Science at the University of Waterloo and also hold a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
I grew up in Guelph and I am now settled in the GTA, where I feel grateful to build meaningful relationships and contribute to patient care within the Etobicoke community. I feel incredibly grateful to work alongside such a dedicated, supportive team!
Outside of the clinic, I love hosting friends and family and finding time to unwind in the kitchen. I enjoy traveling with my husband and love exploring new places, cultures, and adventures along the way. I am intentional about creating a life that feels calm, fulfilling, and aligned, both inside and outside of the clinic.
Ela, Dental Assistant
My name is Ela, and I am a Certified Level II Dental Assistant. I came to Canada from Poland in 1989 and have had the pleasure of working alongside Dr. Maj since 2012.
My favourite part of my role is caring for our wonderful patients and collaborating with such a supportive team. I find working in healthcare and serving the community incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in helping create a positive experience for every patient.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, hiking, camping, and spending quality time with my family.
